Deanna Otts-Whitfield, MSHQS, BSDH, RDH, CDIPC is a seasoned dental professional dedicated to oral health education, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. A former United States Marine, she brings the discipline and leadership gained through military service to her work in dentistry. She holds a bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from Texas Woman’s University and an executive master’s degree in Healthcare Quality & Safety from Sam Houston State University. In 2023, she earned the CDIPC credential from the Association for Dental Safety, reinforcing her commitment to evidence-based infection prevention and control.
With more than 17 years of industry experience, Deanna specializes in compliance consulting, helping dental teams strengthen safety programs, regulatory readiness, and quality systems. She is an active professional leader, having served on the board of the Texas Dental Hygienists’ Association, and is a recognized author and speaker. Relocating to Minnesota in 2025, she plans to continue her professional career by contributing her expertise in compliance, infection prevention, and dental practice management while supporting the growth and advancement of the dental hygiene profession.
