Loni Osness | Vice President

Loni has practiced dental hygiene in Minnesota and Wisconsin for over a decade, treating thousands of patients of all ages and diverse backgrounds. As a clinician, they’ve allowed her to become their dental health advocate, build healthier lifestyles and comply with realistic treatment goals.

“Like you, I genuinely want to help and motivate people to live better. We are the frontline of dental health education.”

Early in her career, she acted as the lead public health dental hygienist and program assistant of Celebrate Smiles, the first public dental health program in Southern Wi with restorative care. The program is ongoing, and she has helped treat over 30,000 children in the first five years! Later she transitioned into private, corporate, and cosmetic dentistry, further magnifying her dental hygiene profession and excelling in patient care. Additionally, she has volunteered in Wisconsin Mission of Mercy, and Colgate Give Kids a Smile program.

She evolved her skill set from dental assisting and hygiene by furthering her education in Business Administration in the Saint Catherine University graduate program in Saint Paul, Mn. She received the Graduate Women’s Scholarship and was a recipient of the National Health Service Corps.

Last, she has been a member of the ADHA for several years and has realized that she wants to advocate for patients and fellow hygienists. MnDHA is an excellent way to start this and a community she hopes to see grow.
